My sister and I left for ice cream, and came back with... a dog?

This poor little guy was running around without a collar in our neighborhood, so I pulled over, called him, and he came to me. We had him for about 2 hours, enough time to feed him, get him some water, make him feel loved, and make a "found" poster. Thankfully, someone saw my Mother posting the found sign, pointed her in the right direction, and Buddy was reunited with his Mom swiftly.

Went out to the Deschutes Brewery to celebrate Sam's birthday!

They make their root beer from scratch! It tasted a bit overly like sassperilla, but it was OK.

The grilled cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries though? Mmmmm!!!!!!

My beautiful friend Carly offered to model for me so I could practice backlighting techniques! It was easy to photograph her because she's so gorgeous, but the sun didn't cooporate the entire time, it kept going behind clouds. I don't know what I was expecting, living in Oregon and all... but I feel like we got some great shots and I accomplished what I wanted! Thanks again Carly!!

It's raining again :(

I don't mind the rain, in fact I prefer it over the nasty 95 degree weather we were having, but I was hoping for a few more sunny days... there's something about the sunshine and the light in the fall that's different from any other type of year. Hopefully we'll get a few more nice days before the overcast weather settles in for the next 8 months.

I helped my Mom out by using my Macro lens to photograph a Halloween tree she made. Her hobby is collecting antique pieces of costume jewlery and turning them into mixed media art pieces. I kinda love this one, and it was fun to photograph cause everything sparkled!

Normally I wouldn't do this, but since my Mom is trying to sell it, have a look at her ebay page and bid on it if you think you'd like a one of a kind decoration for the holidays!

Took Charli and Boone to the lake today since it's 95 degrees. Unfortunately all of the Portland Metro area had the same idea, and there were far too many people to take the dogs out. Not to mention, had I wanted to swim, I'd be getting boat fuel all over me. So gross.

You would think that living in Oregon would mean there would be tons of places to take your dogs, or even yourself, swimming. I haven't found that to be the case. Bleh.

Instead, a quick romp of frisbee in a field.

This photo really doesn't do the sunrise justice. I took this at 7am on my way to work, pulled over and got out of the car. The sun was blood red and creepy...

The mountain has been having lots of wildfires, and it's been windy, so the smoke has been drifting into the valley.

My parent's dog, Clark, is getting on the older side. He's an11 year old Jack Russell terrier. I've been wanting to take him out and get some shots of him, and today was the perfect day for it, despite the smoke from the wildfires that is wafting into the valley.

I'm a bit bummed I didn't compose this one correctly... be honest with me, does it still work?

Took Boone to the vet today. One of the pads of his foot had a cut on it, and a bit of flesh was dangling from a thread and it was really bothering him :( The doc snipped it right off and he felt loads better!
