Day 314

Can you guess where I spent the majority of the afternoon today?
I used this photo over at The Sunday Creative (even though it's Saturday) as an entry for "Old Soul" Duke was the name of this pooch, and he was quite the character. While he has a lot of grey hairs, he was super playful and such a sweetheart.

Boone looks well on his way to recovery.

We got a rescue puppy "Stormy" from the town animal shelter three weeks ago. It will be a step sister for our GSD (german shepard dog)"Shadoe". Now they are very different dogs. Shadoe is 14 months, fast but not aggresive at all. Stormy, a lab/pyrenes/pit mix is stocky, will be a large dog when mature, not afraid of anything. Last night we had our first thunderstorm since getting Stormy and while Shadoe is fearfull of thunder, loves people and plays well with other dogs, Stormy throws herself with wild abandon into Shadoes full running assaults. Of course Stormy gets bowled over now, but later when she gets bigger than Shadoe, she will be a handful. Its really fun to watch them have their own doggy day care 24/7.

Bump, run, play, tussle, sleep start all over again. Take time out for potty breaks eat drink and make merry.

Stormy has black coat from lab, but long legs, large paws, double dew claws and white socks with a white star on head and belly from the pyrrenes and a stocky head from the pit. My wife used to have pits and loved their affectionate behiavor. Shadoe is like Farrah fawcet, Stormy is like Mae West LOL

What a sweet interpretation! I think many pups have old souls...how else could they be so patient and devoted!
