Day 182

Happy Halloween!
Anakin had to try on Boon'e costume....

Obviously it fit better on Boone

My Mother opened the door like this. Heheh.

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween!

Day 179

My day at work started off really weird.

My work computer DIED. This is a screenshot the IT guy took before he wiped its memory. The whole thing was just weird. There is absolutely no reason for my work computer to die like that. I NEVER go on external websites or open weird e-mails, so I really doubt it could have been a virus... the IT guy said he really didn't want to spent the time figuring out what went wrong, he just wanted to rebuild the system, haha. So he did! That was a wonky start to the day, but the rest of my day was fun!

We did 80's themed costumes in the office! This is me and my coworker Tori!

Carly photobombing... hahahaha

This is everyone in my office! This company is so cool, you can tell they really value their employees, to let them have this sort of fun during work hours. It's great team building, truthfully.
Then a few of the girls wanted to do a fake photo shoot since I brought my DSLR to work, so we had some fun with 80's poses! So fun!

Day 178

My Dad found my World of Warcraft shirt, and put it on. This shirt used to fit me, about 60 pounds ago, but since I've lost so much weight it's really baggy and doesn't even really work as a gym shirt anymore...

My Dad is a huge goof.

He was pretending to so some magical spell he's seen my avatar do. He watches me play sometimes. Well, when I play, that is. I probably haven't touched that game since...early June...

Day 176

Oooouch, I cut my finger! Look at all the blood! Wahhhh!

Alright, just kidding. Even if I had cut my finger and bled that much, I don't think I'd be photographing it. It's actually pomegranate juice!

Pomegranates might be my favorite fruit. It's just such a shame they're only available for 2 or 3 months a year!

Yummy! They're also freaking expensive, 2 for $5. But so worth it for as tasty and healthy as they are!

Day 175

Today was as lazy of a Sunday as they come. The only thing I actually did today that required effort, was making my family breakfast....
So I made french toast. I haven't had it in years and was craving it.

I followed Martha's recipe, minus a LOT of the oil and butter (but still used a decent amount of butter) and they came out DELICIOUS. I can't wait to try this again, but with decent bakery bread.

Day 174

Days like today are what I thrive off of. Busy and adventerous, and spent with people I adore.

My Dad and I took Boone up to the lake to teach him how to swim. Lois came along, too.

Boone didn't really need much instruction or coaxing. I threw his favorite ball in the water and he dove right after it, brought it back to me, and encouraged me to throw it again! He loved it!

Yup. I have red hair now. I'm keeping it! The only problem with Hagg lake is how dang muddy it is. Even in the summer, the shore is always muddy and gross.

After that, Kari and I went and bought 100 pounds in pumpkins to bring them home for a carving party!

I love the sign in the back. Please lift carefully, pumpkins are heavy! Hahah.

I carved the headless horseman... the horse kinda looks like a dragon though, doesn't it?

From left to right: Mine, Kari's, Mom's, and Stephanie's. Technically these lit up pumpkin photos were taken after midnight, but I'm giving myself some liberty here ;)

Day 173

I drive by this every day, and I had never noticed it before. It's a bus stop outside the library.... it has books on it! :) I still don't have a library card. I should get one of those, one of these days...

Day 172

Had another scare with the Mini today. This light came on when I turned on the car...
Thankfully it was pretty minor, it just means one of my side lights is out. Not even a running light, but a light for decoration, hahaah. I need to take it in for service, anyway, so I can get it fixed then.

Day 171

Had another book club meeting this week! It was my turn to host again since we're still getting into the groove of things. I cooked spaghetti for the girls :)
I thought it came out pretty well! We had a great discussion on "Paper Towns" by John Green, which is one of my favorite books. I love our little book club! We have a great dynamic and it's so much fun!!

Day 170

I forgot my lunch today, so I was rather bad and had to buy lunch near work...

Aww, thanks Panda Express fortune! That would be nice, please :)

Day 169

I love cute Halloween decorations. The scary, nasty ones never appealed to me. Blood and guts and corpses? No thank you. Goofy pumpkins and candy corn and colorful leaves are more my style

Sunday, October 17, 2010

Day 168

Say goodbye to my brown hair! Today I become a red-head ;) To match my fiesty personality...

Pictures later!

Boone is getting so big! He's hard to hold now. I'm rather proud I can lift his 45 pound body, hahaha.

I made a beef stew for dinner. These were the veggies... an onion, potatos, carrots and garlic. The stew was SO yummy.

RAW MEAT. RAWR.

Day 166

Having Boone means that I've been going to the gym less for my cardio, and going out for walks more. I know the gym is better for me, but I just can't stand Boone being alone for so long. He's my buddy!
Besides, if this were your dog, would you want to leave him for 9+ hours a day? I think not.

We have been so lucky with this fall weather. So gorgeous. I'm very thankful for the extra light and nice weather. I'll take Boone for walks in the rain, and he probably likes that better, but I enjoy being dry ;)

He tends to crash after our walks/jogs. I was stretching my legs out and he decided to curl up next to me.

Day 165

This is how awesome my new job is, I got to take 10 minutes of paid time and paint myself a name tag for Halloween. Such a cute idea! I'm really loving my new office. The job itself is interesting and challenging, and the people are so, so nice!

Day 164

A very cool looking Mini at the gym parking lot. It was from Florida!

Day 163

Oh my, I've really let myself get behind on updates, Sorry about that!

Setting sun as the Mini Zooms by! :)

Day 161

I left Bend pretty early. I wanted to get home to Boone.
But before I left, I had a chance to finally meet my friend Rob at the local McMenamins. I think eventually I want to see/eat at all the McMinnies in Oregon.

Rob and I met online a few months ago and have been chatting on facebook ever since. I consider him a really great friend and I'm happy to know him :)

This was probably one of the most dry waffles I have ever had. Hahahaha. The eggs were yummy though!

Yay! Pictures in the parking lot before I took off.

Ah, such a pretty scene. Bye bye, central Oregon!

Day 160

Today I went to visit my Aunt Judy over in Central Oregon, just to hang out and say hey.
The drive was knd of awful until I hit Sisters. It was raining so hard it was almost a washout. When I got to a spot where the rain had stopped, I got out at a viewpoint and snapped this picture. I loved the cloudscapes and mountains. So pretty.

We went "Ding Dong Ditching..." but a nice version of it. Instead of just ringing the doorbell and running away, in this case, you leave a box of hostess ding dongs at their door!

We attached this note, so people would know WHY they were getting a free box of ding dongs.
I didn't write this note, I took it from author John Green since his positive pranking note was so cute!

This was a few houses down from where my Aunt lives. These people really like Halloween, apparently...

Aunt Judy, and my cousin Kevin's girlfriend Jannette! The three of us had such a fun time Ding Dong Ditching/Positively Pranking!

This was the last house we ding dong ditched.
