Day 29

Instead of moving the furniture out of the office to paint, we simply turn the furniture sideways! Inventive, aren't we?

Day 27

Cute puppy is cute!!!!! Jeff and Natalie were puppy-sitting her brother's 8 week old dachshund.
The puppy apparently got sad being left alone, so thankfully Sam offered to watch it while we took Randall out to dinner. I don't know how Sam handled the cuteness. A baby AND a puppy for 2 hours?

Happy Birthday Randall... with your strange apple dessert :)
Hysterical game about killing bunnies. Loved playing and laughing with Natalie and Jeff and Randall :)

Day 26

Puddlejumper should have been my nickname today :)

Lesson learned this afternoon, never ever trust Googlemap directions, and make sure your shitty phone is fully charged if you dare running the Map App on it. Try saying that 5 times fast. Map App, Map App, Map App, Map App, Map App!

I've always loved the Pioneer Square Mall. It's so... open and airy. The architecture is really amazing too.A $700 bag at a random store featuring a Sex and the City display! The movie was not as amazing as the first. It was actually kind of insulting to the characters I've loved for so long. But I'll save that for a movie review blog... or something.

OMG PURTY SPARKLY THINGS. I look especially fat in this photo and I don't understand why. Ugh.

Day 24

Oh Charli, trying to stay warm behind the laptop. Creepy dog.

Day 23

So I thought about cheating, and uploading a photo I took from another day and saying I took it on Tuesday May 25th, but that feels wrong.

I did not take a picture today.

The whole purpose of this blog, aside from trying to teach myself more about my photographic eye and talent, is mainly to be a documentation of my life over the next year. Something I can look back on and and see on any individual day, what was going on and what I did, and also how I was feeling.

And what I felt, for a good part of today was an extreme amount of loneliness, and a picture wasn't going to be able to capture that, nor would I really want it to.

I've been told that I love people too much, to the point where it pushes people away, and I let myself think that I was losing Matt to someone else. I thought that I was being replaced, and that I wasn't as important him, as he is to me.

Thankfully, my dear friend came over and talked some sense into me and reminded me of some really important things about our friendship and the foundation we have.

So today, since I do not have a new picture to share with you, I'm going to share with you one of my favorite picture of my best friend Matt and myself. This was taken in March of this year, at our friend Jennifer's Wedding.

Day 22

It was a snuggle with the kitten sort of day.

Day 21

OMSI and Lost Finale party!

Day 20

Mmm I wish I could have this for dinner again right now!! Dr. Pepper marinated steak, french fries, garlic bread and corn! MMMMMMMM!! ...yeah I've only had like 3 points worth of food today, I'm starving.
Also, today for those of you who actually read the blog instead of just looking at the facebook pictures... you get a special picture today! HAHAHAHAHA.

Day 19

Heyyyy it's me with no make-up on! Obviously I did not take this picture, Stephanie did... but hey it still works! After eating a gigantic piece of pie, I HAD to have my picture taken with Lady Liberty. I may have been high on sugar. Because of THIS:

Day 18

"This is my body, and I can do whatever I want to it. I can push it. Study it. Tweak it. Listen to it. Everbody wants to know what I'm on. What am i on? I'm on my bike, busting my ass six hours a day. What are you on?" -Lance Armstrong

There aren't a whole lot of athletes I have much respect for, or admire much. Probably because I don't give a crap about sports. I do, however, enjoy watching the Tour De France every year with my family, and I've always loved Lance Armstrong and his passion to push himself, his sport, and other people.

So to watch the news today, and see yet ANOTHER accusation of Lance Armstrong "taking drugs" to better himself at his sport, after the man has been under scrutinty for YEARS and come up clean, makes me rather angry. Shame on Landis and whatever agenda he has.

Can't people just accept that Armstrong is an amazing athlete and works his ass off to get the results he does? Most people can't wrap their heads around it because that much physical work is beyond what most of us can think of doing on the weekend... and this man does it EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Lance Armstrong is the greatest cyclist of all time, if not one of the greatest athletes of all time. Period. He's done so many drug tests showing that he's clean that it's not even funny anymore, it's just down right annoying. Leave the man alone.

I'm stepping off my soap box now. And going to work extra hard at the gym tomorrow.

Day 17

Gloomy, wet, windy day. Took this from the car on the way to Art Media around 2:30, it was really coming down! Also the creepy man behind the counter double charged me for tracing paper, jerk.

Day 16

Carved a letterboxing stamp today. Matt and I are going to place several "Lost" themed letterboxes over the summer. We're going to place this one on Sunday when we go to OMSI. I hope we can find a decent hiding place!!

I would have used black ink to test it out, but I need to get to a craft store, right now the only ink pads I have are red and pink!

I wanted to start with the first Dharma logo we saw from the series... "the swan." The stamp is only 1.8x1.8 so it was too tiny to carve the letters in the logo. What do you think?

Monday, May 17, 2010

Day 15

Much better day today. Letterboxing with Kyle and Matt! We attempted 2 different boxes. One at an old graveyard which had pretty easy directions, and one at the Jackson Bottom wetlands which had very cryptic clues and required a compass!

We're pretty sure we found the location of the one at the graveyard, but the box was missing. We did however, thanks mostly to Kyle, find the one at Jackson Bottom, and it hadn't been visted since 2007! Aside from someone who found it on 5/9, but still... no one goes to that letterbox!

Day 14

Almost didn't want to upload a picture for today, cause I'd rather forget it ever happened, but since that isn't part of the project, here you go.

Saturday, May 15, 2010

Day 13

Special Birthday cupcake for my best friend :)

Love you Matty, happy birthday.

Friday, May 14, 2010

Day 12

It was so gorgeous out today!! 76, warm and sunny! Perfect time to get the winter grime off my baby. I really need to give it a wax. There were weird, dark scratches on the paint that came off when I scraped really hard with my fingernails. Anyone know what those were? Was someone trying to key my car and failed?

While I was washing the Mini, someone drove up and offered to buy the Mazda... so.. umm, we sold it. That was weird.

Thursday, May 13, 2010

Day 11

Went to a happy hour lunch with Jason at 23rd Hoyt! Interesting happy hour menu! Also, apparently I like Aiole? :)

It was good to see you Jason. We need to luncheon more often :)

Wednesday, May 12, 2010

Day 10

"An Education" was a weird, weird film.

Made a delicious dinner of flank steak, blue cheese potatoes, salad and garlic bread, finished with a chocolate cream pie! Thanks for coming over for dinner, Matt! Next time, you get to make me your turkey burgers! Mmmm!

We drank our milk from Guiness glasses because we're badasses. Drunk on MILK!

Day 9

Yes, yes, I'm posting this a day late. My computer was freaking out on me yesterday.

Hello, this is me with no make up, after about 2 hours at the gym!

Monday, May 10, 2010

Day 8

My cats apparently like each other now. That's new. I'm still trying to decide if Frodo is merely tolerating Anakin, or doesn't realize he's there.

Sunday, May 9, 2010

Day 7

Almost forgot to take a picture today. Not good only a week into this project. This is my sister and her dog, Charli

Day 6

Some of the best days I have, are spent with my best friend Matt.

Matty you add so much to my life, and I'm thankful for you every day!

and i'll keep reminding
if it's the only thing i ever do
i will always love
i will always love you

Day 5

My desk. May it rest in pieces.

So... we've been redoing my office recently. The carpet is all pulled out and most of the furniture from it is stored away in our library. My monster of a desk had been pulled away from the wall, and most of the outlets. So things like my external hard drive, and my printer, weren't able to reach the wall. I decided, right after getting up this morning, to nudge one side of my desk closer to the wall.

In doing so, the middle partical board piece of my desk snapped in two and my desk collapsed beneath itself. Yes, my computer was on it. Yes, I am a moron.

Thankfully, the computer appears to be working just fine. I spent all day with Stephanie and Kari desk shopping, and finally found the right one. A solid oak, dark stained desk that I love.

Day 4

Today you get 3 pictures for the price of one! The catch is, I clearly didn't take the photo-booth pictures... they were just too cute not to share. So I guess today I'm kind of cheating and uploading more than one photo for today.

The first picture to zee left is my real photo of the day. My first crock pot attempt.. a beef stew. It took shitload longer to took than the recipe said it would.. but man it was good!

Matt and I went to see Shutter Island tonight and they had a photo booth in the theater. I cannot resist those things. Seriously. I don't care what they cost, if I have cash and someone willing with me (or possibly even not so willing) then we do it!

Day 3

Kinda forgot to take my camera out with me when I went to run errands, snapped this in the late afternoon.

Tuesday, May 4, 2010

Day 2

May the fourth be with you!!! Took this shortly after getting back from the gym in the mid morning. It was raining :)

Taken with my Canon Powershot.

Day 1

Welcome to day 1 of my 365 project!

A very interesting elevator in the Fox Tower, heading down to find the car. We had some problems remembering which floor we parked on ;) Featuring Matt.

Note: Large version is quite blurry, view at your own risk. Taken with Canon Powershot A470
