Day 59

"Want some popcorn? I have pleanty" -Kari

Wanted to get out of the house and do something fun today, so Kari and I dragged Stephanie to Eclipse. It made me tear up a bit =/

Before that we went and got peticures. I really liked that, helped me get my mind off things. But the damn massage chair kept beating me up! It was pulsating non stop and the off button didnt work unless you hit the off switch on the chair instead of the remotes. The only buttons that worked on the chair remote were the "knead" option which was more like, pushing me forward violently.

It was kinda funny.

Day 58

Went to dinner with my old friend Lindsay to catch up! She knows I'm having a hard time right now and offered to listen to my struggles. It was so nice to not only talk about it with someone, but just to plain catch up with a friend I didn't realize I had missed so much!
On the way home from dinner I realized that I had made a pretty huge mistake, and felt the need to call someone who has hurt me very much, but now I just keep hurting him back.

I took this a few minutes before I had decided I needed to find somewhere to pull over and make an important call. I was frantic looking for somewhere safe to do it. I pulled over at a church parking lot on Alexander, I think. Before I called I prayed that the person on the other end would answer.
They didn't.

I believe that God gives us obstacles he knows that we're capable of handling, even though it doesn't feel like it right now. But I also think that some of these lessons are extremely hard to learn and God doesn't mean for them to be handled on your own.

Day 55-57

June 26th through 28th

A failed attempt at creme brulee. I wanted it to be perfect. In the end it had to be washed down the sink. It wasn't setting up right.

Day 54

So much hard work and effort for someone who now hates me. Who threw me away with a lot of ease. Scary how much stock I put into this person who seemed happy and relieved to be done with our relationship.

Day 53

Kari was such a sweetheart and invited us over to swim since it was 85 degrees today! Before that I took them both Steph and Kari to the gym and we did an intense leg workout, and then did cardio. It felt really good! Working out aggressions and stress with weights.

Stephanie doing her first jump into the pool. Such amazing form!

Kari basically doing a belly flop into the pool, lol!
Omg WEEEE! Please excuse the rolls of fat. I'm working on it.

Day 52

OMG it's actually summer. I really need to get some of that dust and dander out of the Mini.

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

Day 51

Started working on Matty's pot holders today. Anakin loves to help....and sit near the HOT iron. See how it's all the way over to the right most setting? Yeah, that means it's fucking hot.

Ohhh sewing materials. I wish I was better at this hobby, but hey, I'm learning.

Day 50

Wow! Lots of shopping and running around today :) It was fun and worth it though, we were turning Matt's new apartment into a home! Didn't really take a lot of pictures today because we were so busy, but I did snap this cute shot of Matt on the escalator at Macy's.

And then, this was my official housewarming present to Matt... dinnerware! I figured it would be hard to just get him a pattern without knowing if he liked it or not, so I took him shopping and had him choose the style he wanted... it was great because he could mix and match plate shapes and items he wanted. Neat!

Day 49

Didn't have a whole lot to do today, so I spent some time sewing tea towels/hand towels for Matt! He had mentioned he thought his new dining table reminded him of a bistro, and I had a ton of "espresso/coffee" themed fabric sitting around, so I whipped these babies up!
Why do cats ALWAYS feel the need to "help" when you're sewing?
The finished products! Double sided tea towels :)

Day 48

OMG moving day for Matt! Look at how excited he is :)
Creepy field with pollen floating in it. Loading up Matt's new couches into my truck!

The Comcast agent asked Matt "I bet you are excited to get started with Comcast services" and this is how Matt responded:

Day 47

Hello Sunshine!!!
Small cartons of buttermilk, or a really big bottle of tabasco? You decide. It was Daddy's birthday! He wanted my special fried chicken for dinner, and this is what you marinate the chicken in.
The hills are alive with the sound of music!!!

Thursday, June 17, 2010

Day 46

Went to the Zoo with Stephanie, Kari, and Jordan. The animals were pretty active! I would have to say the polar bears were my favorite today, because they gave me some awesome photos ;)
The kids were pretty fun, too :)

Wednesday, June 16, 2010

Day 45

Well, now I can say I've been to Ikea. I spent a whole $8 there and I think I shall be content if I never spent another dollar there. What a bunch of cheap ass, generic and uncomfortable items.
And very weird lamps. Like Kari's hand reaching inside it?
Stephanie and Kari watching "Sittin on a toilet" via my phone.... while we were eating dinner no less!

Tuesday, June 15, 2010

Day 44

You can't really tell, but this was taken when the skies were super dark and it was POURING down rain at like 2 in the afternoon! It was quite wet!

Day 43

Since it was so beautiful yesterday, I thought the warm, sunny weather would hold out a bit longer, and I asked Matty to come with me to the beach today to build a sandcastle and relax!

It actually turned out to be a really cold day, and by the end of the trip I could barely move my fingers, but there's nothing better than getting in a warm, dry car, cranking the heat up after playing in the cold Ocean with your best friend :)
Me giving Matt a sassy look as he gives the camera a...silly look? :)

The front of our sandcastle! It took us over 3 hours to make, but it was worth every grain of sand eaten and rubbed in our eyes, hahahaa.
The back of the castle. I'm pretty impressed with the stairs Matt carved.

A train silhouette in the den of Camp 18. Such a cute place, I'll always love going there.

An artsy shot of us in the den mirror. I had to fix the lighting to make it somewhat presentable and now I feel like it has that 70's feel to it like we were talking about, Matt, haha :)

These were all taken with my Nikon D80. Entire album is listed on facebook with 160 pictures if you would like to see the rest :)

Sunday, June 13, 2010

Day 42

The answer to life, the universe, and everything: 42.
Even more amusing? This was frame #42 on my uploads from my camera today.

Saturday, June 12, 2010

Day 41

OMG, 75 degrees and amazing sunshine!

Friday, June 11, 2010

Day 40

My sweet little boy. Drooling.

Thursday, June 10, 2010

Day 39

OMG BIBLE STICKERS?! What magical treasures we found today!

Went over to Matt's today to help him get ready for moving. We threw away a lot of paper and recycled a bunch of stuff. I feel like we didn't get much done, but I suppose this is only phase one. Please don't stress my dear friend, I'm going to help you.

And in between helping you pack, unpack, and organize, we'll do silly stuff like this: Joining the Harry Potter swim team.

Wednesday, June 9, 2010

Day 38

Had our first book club meeting! After we ate we promptly went to the bookstore to find our books.. OMG who dat iz??

So when we got to the store, and found the book we had decided on, "The Passage" we realized that not only was it over 700 pages long, but also BRAND new and like $30. So we abandoned that idea and spent about an hour debating over other books to read. Here is Matt describing "Water for Elephants" to Faith over the phone, haha.
Matt adores books.

Tuesday, June 8, 2010

Day 37

Went to yoga with Matt tonight! Then a calming, warm rain shower started coming down. It was nice :) I stole this from Matt's camera, he took this one.
Also, I'd like to show everyone where my stupid money goes: FOOD. I try to buy healthy/organic foods, and therefor my grocery bill is super expensive every week, and this is just for ME. So, everything I bought here... a steak, 4 chicken breasts, strawberries, fiber one bars, carrots and celery... aside from a loaf of bread that isn't shown, all of this cost me $50, and will only last me a week. The fiber one bars I stock up on so I won't need to buy those again for another week or two, and they are very expensive... but seriously. I know WHY healthy food is so expensive but it's just not right.

Day 36

It was painting day! After two different attempts to paint my office in different shades, we settled on a light gray color. Thank you soooo much for helping me, Matt. It made the chore go by so much quicker and it was so fun to spend the day with you :)

We're pretty freaking adorable.
Martha is very proud of her paint. 2 gallons=$51
Yeaaah I know I'm blinking but this was the only shot with our painting outfits.

Attack of the square brush!!!
Happy face because the nasty yellowstone color is going byebye!!!

I stepped in paint, then put my footprint on Matt's ass. When we were all done I thought it would be a splendid idea to get in the sink to clean off my feet. It worked pretty well, actually. Look at the bruise I'm rockin' though. No idea where that came from.

Then to relax we watched the Directors cut of Kingdom of Heaven. 4.5 hours long :) I loooove that movie!!!

"Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong."
